This publication is a safety standard to specify the performance criteria to ensure the product integrity of ammonia refrigeration valves and strainers. It has been significantly revised for the 2022 edition and includes requirements for materials of construction, pressure envelope requirements, marking, production testing, and documentation. It is not applicable to safety relief valves nor compressor slide valves.
